Coverfly merges with The Tracking Board

By | Contests | No Comments

Coverfly is excited to announce our merger with The Tracking Board! We look forward to expanding industry-access opportunities for emerging writers, and to facilitate better talent discovery for the entertainment industry as a whole. Coverfly’s “The Red List,” which aggregates top screenplays from the top screenwriting competitions, fellowships, and labs, will be highlighted to industry professionals via our new integration with The Tracking Board, which is accessed regularly by over 3,000 members which includes executives, agents, managers, and producers. This furthers Coverfly’s mission to provide industry access for emerging writers around the world.

The Tracking Board, which currently owns and will continue to operate the Launch Pad Competition, The Hit List (The Best Spec Scripts of the Year), The Young & Hungry List (The Top 100 New Writers of the Year), and The Spec Book (the annual book of spec market details, covering every spec screenplay, writer and representative in the market) will work in tandem with Coverfly to expand market coverage, industry access and opportunities for writers and industry professionals across all platforms.

Coverfly’s parent company, Red Ampersand, is excited to welcome The Tracking Board to its family of companies, which currently include ScreenCraft, The Script Lab, and WeScreenplay. Together these brands have helped more than 500 writers land representation with agents and managers, more than 60 writers get staffed on hit television shows, more than 160 writers see their projects set up with production companies, studios or networks, and more than 130 writers and projects land on annual “best of” lists such as The Black List, The Red List, BloodList, Brit List, Hit List and Young & Hungry List.

Both companies will work toward expanding each platform, marrying Tracking Board’s deep industry membership and up-to-the-minute spec market tracking, with Coverfly’s platform which gives writers the opportunity to have their scripts discovered by industry professionals.

Welcoming Launch Pad Competitions to Coverfly

By | Contests | No Comments

We’re so happy to welcome Launch Pad to Coverfly. Now, all Launch Pad users can manage their past submissions, current entries, and all written feedback via Coverfly.

Setting up your Coverfly account to sync with your Launch Pad account can be done with a few simple steps. Once you sync, you’ll have access to everything that was previously in your Launch Pad account, such as coverage, feedback and notes. Plus, you’ll be able to sync with many other top competitions, fellowships, and labs so you can track all your submissions from one spot.

To take advantage of the Launch Pad sync – please be sure to use the same email address you used with your Launch Pad account.

First, if you don’t already have a free Coverfly account, you’ll need to sign up for one. Head over to coverfly.com and click SIGN UP. Follow the 2-step directions and set up a password.

Once you’ve logged into your Coverfly dashboard, go to MY PROJECTS or SEE MY DASHBOARD. You may notice that Coverfly has already aggregated your past submissions to Coverfly-qualifying competitions. If your PROJECTS page is blank, it simply means that you either haven’t synced yet with your Launch Pad account, or you haven’t submitted to any Coverfly-qualifying competitions yet.

From here — click SYNC. It will take you to this page:

To sync your Launch Pad account and all information in it, simply click SYNC NOW. You’ll be asked to confirm and within 10-15 minutes your coverage, scripts, and scores from Launch Pad will be synced with your Coverfly account. Any information you had in your Launch Pad account will now be accessible via your Coverfly dashboard.

Right now, all Launch Pad competition and coverage information from Jan 1st, 2016 and later will be available automatically. Over the next few months, we will be adding the ability to sync all your Launch Pad entries and feedback from years prior to 2016.

Everything on Coverfly is automatically PRIVATE — visible only to you. You have the option to make any scripts or coverage “public,” which would make it discoverable by vetted entertainment professionals who use Coverfly to discover projects and writers. Coverfly takes writers’ privacy very seriously — YOU have full control over who sees your scripts, competition scores, and coverage.

Please reach out to support@coverfly.com if you have any questions.
